GW16: Dos and Don'ts

West Ham v Chelsea West Ham have been having serious defensive issues and as a tactical mastermind as Moyes is, he has not yet managed to cover them up.We are not expecting him to do it right away, anyhow. 32 goals against is currently the worst defence of the league and they have not managed a win for the last 8 games. Chelsea have improved a lot since the start of the season, with Eden Hazard being the main reason. He has contributed 4 goals & 2 assists at the last 4 games. Chelsea are in an excellent run with only one draw at the last 8 games and -at current form- they should be beating the Hammers easily. We expect 1-3. DOs: Hazard (10.8): We have just stated the reason above. Morata (10.8): Chelsea will score a lot, so he will be in the scoresheet as well DON'Ts: West Ham defence. See above Willian: He usually comes off the bench to get his customary single point. Somehow this was skewed against Liverpool, but we do not expect much more from the afro-haired ...

GW12: Dos and Don'ts

Milo was about to light up his smoke when his phone buzzed. It was a text from his best friend, Doc. "Not again" He thought. Doc was reminding him that the international break was over and that he should update his fantasy squad. He put the lighter down and replied back "OK" The indicator on his iPhone showded that Doc Daneeka "... is typing". He sighed. "Have you sold Aguero yet?" He really was in no mood to talk to Doc right now. "Yes" He replied, laconically.  Doc was typing again. He muted the phone, picked his lighter up and lit his smoke."Every week the same shit", he thought. He dragged to the living room as his phone was lighting up "What do you think about Sanchez?" "Do you think I should opt for him?" "But then I should sell Salah" Milo opened his TV to watch a movie. Somehow, he just seemed to get the better of Doc every season. Eve...

GW11: Dos and Don'ts

Stoke v Leicester An interesting clash, this one. Stoke won at Watford last week, meaning they quickly got over the City massacre the week before that. Leicester, however, seem to be finding their form again as their two consecutive victories against Swansea and Everton demonstrate. All is open in this encounter. Lets not forget Mourinho's in-form United couldn't win at the bet365 stadium earlier in the season, which is evidence of how tough a ground it can be. DOs: Mahrez (8.4): The assist-machine is gearing up and we won't hesitate to jump on his bandwagon. He has a lot of catching up to do. Diouf (5.5): A cheap striker who was scored in Stoke's last two home games, with three goals in his last four matches in total. DON'Ts: Ndidi. In fantasy-terms, there couldn't be a more ineffective player. 2.1 points per game, having played the full 90 minutes in each and every game so far. Dear me. Jese. No longer a guaranteed starter. This blog stood b...

GW10: Dos and Don'ts

Another gameweek, another guide. Arsenal v Swansea It looks like the time has come for Swansea to get a spanking. Arsenal, coming from a convincing -albeit rather late in the game- victory at Goodison Park are coming home and have an opportunity to build on that win. This is a fantasy chance that you should not miss. DOs: Sanchez (11.8): Stating the obvious, here. The only match the chilean tank missed, at Watford, Arsenal lost. We expect a hat trick here. He is also our Captain suggestion for this week. Kolasinac (6.0):   You can't give a pass to a clean sheet and a possible involvement in one of the many goals the Gunners will score DON'Ts: Swansea defence and Goalkeeper Xhaka. Just because he had an assist at Goodison park, do not jump the bandwagon. Look someplace else. Crystal Palace v West Ham This is the type of matches we love analysing. Three points in nine games for Palace -and those three points where in a freak win against Chelsea....

GW9: Dos and Don'ts

Talk is cheap. Show me the Money. West Ham v Brighton The Hammers seem to be steadily improving as the season goes on and that is refreshing to see. They have kept 4 clean sheets in the last 6 matches in all competitions, with one of them being the crazy 2-3 againsta Spurs. Last gameweek they managed to get a draw in spite of playing a man down -although the way it happened should feel more like two points lost than one gained-. The visitors are having a hard time away from home and we cannot see them scoring in this one as they have only scored one away goal so far, at Bournemouth DOs: Fonte (4.9): Get those clean sheet points Chicarito (7.0): We can see him being the one to break the Brighton bus Gross (5.7): We wouldn't suggest getting him now, but he is definitely an investment for the future at the moment. Bench him if you have him. DON'Ts: Ryan. Can't see him keeping a clean sheet Knockaert. Many jumped on the Knockaert bandwagon early in the seaso...

GW8: Dos and Don'ts

Doc was hovering manically above his laptop. He could not believe the time had come again. God, he loved the international breaks. No footie, no banter, no reading, no disappointments. Now it was time again for him to log in. He had to go through all the stats and injuries. All the international results, triumphs and disqualifications. Who was on a high? Who was benched and rested during the midweek? Why, oh why? And all of this for what? Only to get everything wrong again -and be ridiculed come Monday. Maybe he could switch to a different sport? NFL had just started and MLB postseason was underway. Oh the boredom. Football is back again ladies and gentlemen! Back on the trenches! Get your game face on and start tinkering your fantasy teams! GW7: Dos and Don'ts

Better late than never  Said the snotty delivery boy as he presented Reece with his pizza. "You can say that again, its 10 hours late and 8 o'clock in the morning!" He replied. "We're doing the best we can, sir. It has been hectic today." said the young delivery boy. "You mean yesterday" replied Reece irated "It will be 18 euros. Sir." said the delivery boy impatiently. He seemed surprised by Reece's apparently irrational displeasure Reece took his wallet out and payed for his pizza. 10 hours late. He demanded to get the full change back and closed the door to the delivery boy. You cheap bastard! ...he heard him cry as he was walking away. Huddersfield v Tottenham Huddersfield have been nothing sort of brilliant so far but they have not been tested against any of the top 6. They have one win and 2 draws at home against Newcastle, Southampton and Leicester. They managed to lose at the Carabababuwhatisthiscow cup aga...

GW6: Dos and Don'ts

Doc Daneeka was coming home from the pub. He had quite a few and was feeling a bit tipsy. Beer was always helping him out in tough situations, and this was one. His initial high-end choice for his midfield was De Bruyne. After a horrible start to the season, and just before the City-Liverpool match, he decided to swap him for Mane. After Mane's sent off, he decided to move quickly and bank on Pogba. Pogba got injured, so he decided to trade him for Ali. Ali seems to have forgotten how the game was played all of the sudden. He was desperately trying to find the solution to his Fantasy problems. He walked into his apartment and fell straight to bed. The room was inexplicably moving around him. Numbers and names with it. Suddenly, it hit him. That was it. The differential that would bring him back to the top. The solution to all your problems He decided to act swiftly. He opened his laptop and logged in. He traded Ali for Ibe. With the cash left, next week he wou...
