League of the Nations: Week III

League of the Nations had no special surprises this week. Spain has remained at the top of the table and Latin America had the best score of the week. However, we have to inform you that we had selected as captain Jesus and not Aguero. This week we are going to switch them as Aguero seems to be on fire lately (cue a Jesus hat trick!). Belgium keeps rising with Lukaku as a captain and Vertongen, De Bruyne & Alderwereild always there to provide additional points.  England had also a good week with top performer Walker with 10 points followed by Vardy with 9 points.

How to cheat UEFA Champions League Fantasy

Last year Mbappe , according to Uefa champions league fantasy, was a 'midfielder' who was scoring a lot (!). Fabinho was initially a 'defender' but all of a sudden he was playing in front of the other defenders. Andre Silva was also considered as a midfielder (but AC Milan has paid €38 millions for a forward called Andre Silva). Sanchez , in other fantasy games, is still a midfielder. Of course in each fantasy game you have to predict which forward will score more on a specific gameweek, which team has the strongest defense etc, but sometimes the key to success is to identify players in 'wrong' positions. A forward registered as midfielder can provide more points than other midfielders. Based mostly on their appearances in their national leagues we have identified a few cases that will allow you to maximize your points. Unfortunately we haven't identified any serious mistakes this season. But don't worry. Mbappe also appeared...

League of the Nations: Week II

League of the Nations After a small break with the international games and the first round of the European group phase the League of the Nations is back. We had some changes at the squads of the teams after the end of the transfer period and today, we are going to present you the current squads and the situation at the League Table. What we would love from you is to give us suggestions for possible transfers and substitutions that you think will give a better result to any team.  Also, we still want to hear for possible new teams for our League fort next year. First of all, we start with the table: As expected, Spain sits comfortably at the top of the league and it is followed from Latin America that had a bad week of 29 points and France that had the best week from all the rest of the teams (65 points). Netherlands has remained at the bottom of the table, but it can be justified as you will see because of their lack in forwards. Also, lets face it, most of t...

GW5: Dos and Don'ts

He walked down the last meters of the pavement in Windmill lane and turned right to face the house. A two-storied typical English house. A white entrance door on a brick wall with a large window frame on its left. He unlocked and entered.  He layed his Tesco bags on the table facing him. "Here's our shopping" he mumbled to himself. "Hope I didn't forget anything" He took his coat off, glancing the mirror opposing him from time to time. He giggled and placed the coat on the hanger next to the entrance door. He took his shoes off and put on his brown slippers. "Oohh" he exhaled as he was putting them on. They felt so cozy. 7 pounds well spent. He took a plastic bottle of milk out of the bag with his right hand and the bag was empty. He grabbed  the bag with his left and crushed it into his fist. He walked to the kitchen, dropping the bag in a drawer as he placed the milk on the kitchen table. He took a glass off the cup...

Uefa Champions League Analysis (Groups E, F, G, H)

Let's now continue our analysis with the remaining 4 groups. You'll have to select almost half of your players from them. e.g. it makes no sense to have 2 goalkeepers from groups A to D. You should also have a potential captain from these groups and another one from the first ones. Group E   - From Maribor our only suggestion is Pihler. - From Spartak, you can select either  Promes or Glushakov.  But wait!  Sevilla has won 3 times the Europa cup and Liverpool is back in Uefa champions league.  In this group these are the only 2 teams that you have to follow. - From Sevilla Jesus Navas (6) and Nolito (6.5) can be selected in very reasonable prices compared to their skills. Ganso has scored in the last 2 games. -From Liverpool, it is a matter of rotation if TAA is a must or not. Firmino is also a safe option from a team that scores a lot and in many different ways. Group F   -Feyenoord is a great source for play...

GW4: Dos and Don'ts

The room was dark and shady. The television was open but muted, limited to casting a light to the rest of his large living room. On the sofa, in the corner of the room, lied Reece. He wasn't really watching anything. Barely seeing the images interchange before his eyes. He turned his look on his laptop -actually sitting on his lap-. He glanced at the bottom right corner of the screen. 23:01 The transfer deadline day had just passed. He felt numb. Dumbfound. Stunned, like a deer staring the headlights of a speeding truck. He refreshed his twitter feed. The ITKs had suspiciously muted and the annoyed and annoying fans were complaining. Had Lemar signed for Arsenal? Was Coutinho a Barca player? Why wasn't Sanchez a City player? Had Drinkwater signed for Chelsea yet? Where was Van Dijk after all? Voices sounded in his head. He felt dizzy. For one last time, he mentally calculated this summer's net spend. The net spend league predicts the Manchester clubs...
