Uefa Champions League GW6

The group stage of the Champions League comes to an end on Tuesday and Wednesday and 14 teams will be fighting for the 8 remaining places in the round of 16.

•    Teams already qualified: Barcelona, Bayern, Beşiktaş, Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Tottenham.

•    Teams that can still qualify: Atlético Madrid, Basel, CSKA Moskva, Juventus, Leipzig, Liverpool, Manchester United, Napoli, Porto, Roma, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk, Spartak Moskva and Sporting.
•    Teams that cannot finish in top two: Anderlecht, APOEL, Borussia Dortmunda and Celtic.
•    Teams that will finish fourth: Benfica, Feyenoord, Maribor, Monaco, Olympiacos, Qarabağ.

Group A

DO

-Lang from Basel is a great option. He's scored in the last 5 games, although playing as defender.

-Akanji is another cheap and reliable defender from Basel.

DONT

-MU has already qualified. With progression all but secure, Mourinho could rest key players for the weekend derby clash with Manchester City, though Paul Pogba is likely to play due to his domestic suspension for the red card he collected against Arsenal.  Stay away.

WATCH

-Basel players will for sure shine in the next years. A team full of talent, you just have to watch them closely and keep notes for the next years. Just have in mind that Salah and Rakitic were playing for Basel in the past. Your list can initially include Oberlin, Petretta, Ajeti and Akanji.

Group B

DO

-Neymar is always an option
-Bayern: A risky choice for this gameweek, as they have to will have to win by a four-goal margin to finish top. Our suggestions are Ulreich, Kimmich and Lewa.

DONT

-Celtic VS Anderlecht, although we expect Celtic to qualify to UEFA Europa League.

WATCH
-For the future: Onyekuru (Anderlecht), Edouard (Celtic), Dembélé (Celtic)
-For this season: PSG and Bayern can be met again, even in the final, keep a close eye on them in general.

Group C

DO

-Roma has to win and qualify. We count on Dzeko and for sure on their defenders.

DONT

-Chelsea VS Atletico (Athletico Madrid can still qualify, but they will have to win at Chelsea and hope that Roma drops points to Qarabag...)

Group D

DO

-Juventus will progress with a win over bottom played Olympiacos, or if Sporting fails to get the victory away in Barcelona. If Sporting draw and Juventus loose they will be equal on eight points each, however, last season’s finalists Juve will progress as they have a superior head to head difference against the Portuguese side. Our suggestions are Dybala and anyone from their defenders.

DONT

-Barcelona is already confirmed as group winners. Stay away or pick Dost from Sporting!

Group E

DO
-The reds can finish in the top with a victory. Sevilla they can also qualify for sure with a draw against Maribor. Spartak Moscow can qualify with a victory away at Liverpool.
-Liverpool: Salah is on fire, TAA is the most promising player from his team for this season.

-Promes can also be a reasonable choice for this gameweek (a midfielder who is the top scorer of his team for this season, playing against a weak defense).
-Sevilla will win but it is difficult to predict the scorer(s).

DONT

-Maribor (obviously)

Group F

DO

-Marlos and Bernard from Shakhtar although Pep said that 'I'll prepare the team to win. To respect Shakhtar and to respect Napoli and for the competition - because it is a big opportunity to win 18 points for the prestige of the club - we are going there to prepare to win.'

DONT

-Man City. Stay away!

Group G

DO

-Porto will progress with a victory over bottom-placed Monaco, or even if they end up on the same points as RB Leipzig as they have a superior head to head over the Germans.
-From Besiktas Talisca can contribute a lot to another great victory.

DONT

-Porto has to win but Monaco has the players for a surprise. Stay away, else just pick those who can score (e.g. Aboubakar, Telles, Brahimi, Falcao)!

Group H

DO

-The places in Group H have already been settled with Tottenham leading the group and Real Madrid finishing in second place.
-For Real CR7 is always a choice.
-From Tottenham Kane and Trippier can be good choices but you also have to confirm the starting linups.

DONT

-Dortmund (unfortunately...)

Note: We'll update this post during the next days based also on the latest news from the teams, stay tuned!
