Uefa Champions League GW5

Group stage has almost finished. The tricky part for the last 2 gameweeks is to identify the teams that will heavily rotate, the teams that will struggle for the first or third place and the teams that have the mentality to just ignore their current points and play the last 2 matches even for their uefa ranking for the next year.

Group A

DO

-Oberlin from Basel is a risky but VFM option.

-Akanji is a cheap and reliable defender from Basel.

-Wernbloom from CSKA is a great scorer and he plays against a weak defense.

DONT

-MU has already qualified. Murinho can rotate his team. Stay away, at least for this match.

Group B

DO

-PSG: The obvious choice: Rabiot, Neymar JR, Cavani, Areola, Meunier, Kurzawa.

-Bayern: Another safe choice for this gameweek. Our suggestions are Ulreich, Tolisso, Alaba, Thiago, Lewa.

DONT

-Celtic and Anderlecht

Group C

DO

-Chelsea has a great opportunity to qualify: Hazard, Morata, Zappacosta are great choices.

DONT

-Atletico VS Roma

Group D

DO

-Messi, trying to add more goals in his records

-Acuña and Dost can be great choices from Sporting.

Group E

 DO

-Liverpool: Salah is on fire, TAA is the most promising player from his team for this season.

-Promes is our strong suggestion for this gameweek (a midfielder who is the top scorer of his team for this season). Unfortunately he will not be in the next World Cup with Netherlands so he knows that his only chance for a transfer is through Uefa champions league matches.

-Luis Adriano and Ze Luis can also be good choices from Spartak.

DONT

-Maribor (obviously)

-Sevilla: you never know who will score, we cannot trust their defense during this season

Group F

DO

-From Man. City Jesus could be great choice for this gameweek. The only risk is Pep to rotate his team a lot. So most likely we expect a lineup with Foden, Mangala, Diaz, Gundogan

-Marlos and Bernard from Shakhtar could be risky options.

DONT

-Feyenoord, a very week team for CHL standards.

-Napoli most probably will focus on Serie A and not on fictional scenarios on how to qualify in the remaining 2 gameweeks.

Group G

DO

-From Besiktas Talisca can contribute a lot to another great victory. Babel, the Liverpool fan, can also be a VFM choice.

DONT

-Monaco, unless you want to gamble based on their lineup (e.g. in case Carillo starts, pick him)

Group H

DO

-Real Madrid can provide us players who can earn points in the next gameweeks: Hakimi (check however if he'll start, most probably he won't), Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Isco, CR7
Note also that Ramos won't travel to Cyprus and that APOEL has a really strong defense.

DONT

-Dortmund VS Tottenham. Of course this is the best match to watch for this evening but not for fantasy football picks.
Aubameyang has been recently punished but he will be in the starting lineup again for this match, Papastathopoulos is injured (most probably Zagadou will replace him), Tottenham has been defeated by Arsenal, it is far too risky to predict the outcome of this match.

Note: We'll update this post during the next days based also on the latest news from the teams, stay tuned!
